Sokeva Oy is a Finnish manufacturer of paint brushes and other brush types.

Sokeva was established in1956. Its business idea at the time was to undertake industrial manufacture and, on the other hand, to support visually impaired craftsmen by supplying them with raw materials and finding markets for their handmade products.

At the time, most of the paint brushes were handmade, while today the production is based on automation technology. We have two different production lines. Part of the brushes is still made by hand.

Sokeva Oy started operations in 1997. With increasing production and importation, it was considered necessary to separate the production of handmade brushes by the visually impaired from purely industrial production. The share capital of Sokeva Oy is owned by the Central Federation of the Visually Impaired.

Nearly all of the paint brushes manufactured at our Vantaa factory carry the Key Flag symbol as a sign of having been made in Finland. The symbol is clearly marked on the products.
